ADROP 2008 Election

New vice president chosen; amended Article IV passes.
The 2008 election has ended and the results are in. ADROP is happy to report that the election had great turnout and participation -- 60 percent of the membership voted. 

2008 Results
Vice president:  In a close vote between the candidates, David T. Marshall, M.D., assistant professor and training program director at the Medical University of South Carolina was chosen to serve as ADROP vice president for 2009-2010. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming David to his new role.

Article IV:  The amended Article IV of the ADROP constitution stipulating officer terms as two years passed by a 98 percent "Yes" vote.

ADROP Ballot – Please Vote Now!

Dear ADROP Member,

This is your official ballot for voting on two items: 1) a new vice president and 2) an amendment to the ADROP constitution changing the terms of the ADROP executive committee members service from one to two years. Please vote for each item below by responding to this e-mail.

Amendment to ADROP Constitution

This amendment was submitted to the ADROP president in accordance with the ADROP constitution. It is intended to provide continuity for the ADROP Annual Meeting due to the infrequent meeting schedule currently used by the organization. Please vote YES or NO for the following proposed amended Article IV submitted to the ADROP president in accordance with the amendment procedure outlined in the ADROP constitution:

CURRENT ARTICLE: Article IV: Officers

Officers of the Association shall be President, Vice President (President Elect), and Immediate Past President. This group of officers shall constitute the Executive Committee. The Vice President will be elected by the membership annually and will serve for a one year term. The President-Elect (Vice President) will automatically become President, and the President will automatically become Past President. Other than as noted above, the officers may not be re-elected for a successive term.

PROPOSED NEW ARTICLE: Article IV: Officers

Officers of the Association shall be President, Vice President (President Elect), and Immediate Past President. This group of officers shall constitute the Executive Committee. The President-Elect (Vice President) will automatically become President, and the President will automatically become Past President.
